I had hopes of taking the kids camping while we were in Utah for the summer. It seems that I was the only person who thought it sounded like fun! Not so much excitement fom the rest of the family, so I thought maybe if we spent a day up Huntington canyon they would get into the spirit of things...that made it worse. They complained about everything, it's too hot, it smells weird, what kind of bugs are those, I'm hungry... It is so beautiful up here, look at those big dark afternoon clouds behind us. I miss those clouds and the afternoon thunder storms. Pre-california I assumed thunder and lightning storms happened everywhere, I guess there is a price that must be paid for the almost perfect weather in So. Cal.
Don't let this picture fool you, he really was not happy with us. He wanted to be able to go where ever he wanted. We kept them pretty close to us though because the water was moving fast!
Seth loves to collect things, anything! Todays item was sticks. He was having a hard time keeping up because there were so many sticks. He kept asking me to hold them for him. I have a new rule with him...if you can carry it you can keep it, otherwise he would fill my clothes and hands to full capacity. He decided he would carry this stick by placing it down the back of his shirt. (If you look closely you can see the branches coming out in a V shape on each side of his head.) Paige and I were behind him and she said "He looks like a reindeer!"
