We should have brought the computer....

The next morning we decided to go to do something fun with the kids that did not include sand. We tossed around a few ideas and decided on miniature golf. While we waited for the very nice girl at the front desk to get us some directions (should have brought our computer) we decided to go for another swim. Paige has completely boycotted the fat swimming suit, built in float. At one point, she climbs out of the hot tub and walks over to the swimming pool to get in. I am watching her very closely but I didn't get up. The group of 5 adults sitting together talking all watch her very closely (I am sure they were thinking she was going to sink to the bottom ;) as she walks down the steps and pushes off and swims to Paul out in the middle. There was a collective "Did you see her?" "She just swam over there!" "How old is she?" That was worth the last couple of weeks of stress!

We now have directions and we are off to play miniature golf, or not! It is closed for a private party :( Oh well, there is bowling right next door, that was another idea. We just get started, Josh and myself have a turn when the power goes out. Seriously, what are the odds, at least we are not the private party next door who rented a whole facility. They gave us coupons for free bowling and said call back later, now what are we going to do?(should have brought the computer)

We thought maybe we could go the movies. We get directions from a kid at the bowling alley, not real clear directions, but we will give it a shot. We think we are on the right path when we come across an Asian themed shopping center. We decide we need better directions so I go into the only non-Asian store, Italian Gelato, I chuckled to myself when the girl asked if she could help me. (I wish we had brought the computer) Off we head, with worse directions. After driving for a while we decide we will ask for directions one more time! I go into an Office Depot, greeted by backpacks with Asian writing. Where are we and when did we leave So. Cal. The kid (Asian) who works here is definitely better, we have good directions, and so we are off! We find the theatre, finally! But where are the kid movies, or movies that we have heard of? (where is the computer when we need it?) Its been a while, maybe the power is back on at the bowling alley :) It is, and so we are back to try bowling again! The kids have a blast and the staff is very nice. We have the bumpers put up for the kids (and myself). For the first time ever I beat Paul, thanks to the bumpers.

Now we are all hungry and we want some Ramen. We used to eat at a great Ramen house in Denver with the Calls (thanks to Yuko). We are going to take advantage of our misadventures this morning and go back to the Asian market. We ate lunch at Ajisen Ramen, and it was worth it.
