Easter 2010

This was a wonderful, restful Easter weekend this year. Soccer games were held during the week and General Conference happened to fall on the same weekend. Last year I found a great idea on Family Fun Magazine that inspired me to make a string maze throughout our house to find each individually hidden basket. Paige and Seth requested that we do it again this year much to the dismay of my husband. Each kid had their own spool, Paige has pink, Seth has blue and Josh has green.
Seth was pleading his case as to why he should be first to go when Paige very nicely agreed. I made him wait until everyone finished to actually go through his basket which then involved another case of pleading...but with no success.
Paige was about a third of the way through her string when she said "This is taking super long!"
Josh was his usual mellow self and waited patiently on the couch for his turn.

The day was finished off with a not so great Easter ham :( My mom is a much better cook than I am. As we finished dinner Paul and I sat at the table talking while the kids were jumping on the trampoline. As we sat there the ground started to roll and the chandelier above the table started swaying. We were enjoying the effects of a 7.2 earthquake that was happening on the Mexico Califonia border. The kids were again clueless as they felt nothing.
