Today we went to JCPenney to get some long pants for the kids since we will be going to a colder climate for Thanksgiving. Paige loves to climb, everything. I asked her about a gazillion times to quit climbing on the black cart thingy. Did she listen....NO! I heard a loud bang that unfortunately turned out to be her head. I held her for a few minutes on my lap, did the usual look at her eyes, get her to talk to me, answer questions. When she seemed okay I picked her up and sat her in the seat of the cart, which she did obediently this time.
This is where it gets worse...for me. Now I can see how HUGE the lump on her head is, growing as I look at it from under her hair. I think the fight or flight part of me must have kicked in at this time, sadly though, it was the wimpy flight part. My body started to get that weird tingly sensation everywhere and the darkness began closing in around my eyes. I wobbled over to the shoe section where I knew they would have seats for me to lie down on. Thank goodness I had Josh with me (if it was Seth I probably would have lost him at this point)
Here comes the young shoe clerk girl...."Ummm, are you okay?"
Me "No, can you watch my kids for me for a second?"
Shoe girl "Ummm, okay...do you guys like shoes?"
How do I explain to her that Paige is the one with the HUGE lump on her head, but I am the one passing out!
