Responsible Student Award goes to.....

It is such a delight to teach this young man. He is attentive and focused during the lessons. He has a strong desire to learn and likes to be challenged. It is great to see how he is a fine role model for the other students in the class. What a fine student you are...Josh Potter.

Mrs. Flanagan

Yeah for Josh!

But I wonder what it must be like for his teacher to teach these kids if he is the responsible one. I am looking forward to parent-teacher conference so I can ask her how she makes it through the day. Seriously...the kid can not find his shoes...EVER! I ask him about 7 times every morning to get his shoes on and each time he looks at me like I am speaking a foreign language. I could go on forever about this child of mine that seems to live with his head in the clouds but I will stop here and be grateful that he is good for his teacher.
When he got home from school that day he proceeded to make ME a bargain for his good behavior. On the back of his award there is a coupon for a shake at Red Robin. He says "I don't really like that Robin place (he has never been there) so don't you think that maybe you could buy me a Webkinz or Legos instead and you take the coupon."
Congratulations Josh, I am proud of you. I appreciate all you do around our house to make it peaceful. I enjoy your thoughtful questions that seem beyond your years. I pray that you continue to do well and enjoy years of positive reinforcement from those around you. Continue to be good and be a good example to those around you.
