We got up early in the morning so we could get ready for a long fun day. It started with the boys first basketball game at the YMCA. I had no idea that the yellow basketball jersey would throw Seth into panic mode. He sat next to me for the majority of the game curled up in a ball because it would be too itchy. He finally got in the game, without the jersey, for the last quarter of the game because I told him that he would not get to pick out a toy at SeaWorld. Good Ol' Fashioned Bribery.
After the game we made a pit stop at the bathrooms and got in the car to go to SeaWorld and Aunt Teresa's and Uncle Chuck's for dinner. (without Paul who was in Utah for the Hill Air Force Base Air Show) We get about half way and Seth needs a bathroom break. We pulled over at a McDonalds and the kids begged to go play in the playland. I usually say no, but I was trying to be SuperMom. As I sat at the bottom trying to keep my eyes on them I could hear Paige crying. I sent the boys up to help her. They were a huge help ;) Eventually I climbed in and worked my way to the top to find her crying because she had boogers! She didn't want anyone to see her with boogers!
We continued our journey to SeaWorld. We didn't have a lot of time but I figured we could play in the "Sesame Street Bay of Play." Sounds dangerous right? We stopped off at the first ride, similar to the teacups in Disneyland. This is where I dislocated Paige's elbow by trying to keep her safe :( At the time I wasn't sure what had happened. The boys did a couple more things and then we left. So much for that great idea.
When we got home I called a friend and asked her to stay with the boys in the morning so I could take Paige to urgent care. Throughout the night she cried and wimpered whenever she would try to move. When my alarm when off at 6:30 am she woke up and said "Mommy my arm no hurt anymore, see!" She moved it all over and wiggled her fingers. I believe she had Nursemaid's elbow. At some point in the night she must have reduced it herself.
Thankfully everything turned out okay but I had this nagging feeling all week that we maybe we should just stay home...
