We are pretty lucky that our spring break happens to fall at the same time as the March birthdays in our family. My dads comes first on March 18. I made a Sheperds pie that turned out okay. I didn't get a good picture of his cake because it didn't look to great :)It did taste great though with all of the fresh strawberries we brought from CA.
Happy Birthday Dad, We love you!

Next is Devans on March 19. We waited until the following Sunday to celebrate with family. She is officially a teenager. We had a great dinner with brisket and twice baked potatoes. She made this yummy cake with the bright frosting. I don't think she meant for it to melt into the cake but it made it even yummier.
Happy 13th Devan, we love you too!

Next it would be my Grandpa Petitti's on the 21st. After that it is my moms on the 24th. I offered to cook dinner until we decided to eat retro. As a kid we use to eat salmon patties and macaroni and tomatoes, but as an adult I can not make the salmon patties because I gag when I open the can. The macaroni and tomatoes were better than I remember them! Unfortunately she ended up making her own dinner:(

I did help with the cake though. We made this yummy cheesecake with a nice fluffy topping. By the time we added all of the candles it had a nice waxy finish to it.
Happy birthday Mom, we love you!
As a side note, we thought maybe we had poisoned everyone with dinner when Josh woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and then we found out that Cameron had also been up all night throwing up. Luckily, for our reputation as cooks, not so lucky for Cameron. He ended up in the hospital that morning getting his appendix removed. Still not sure what was wrong with Josh, except that maybe it was divine intervention. We had planned to spend the day in Salt Lake and would not have been in town, but we had decided earlier to stay home since Josh was sick.
