For months my kids have been anticipating Drive Inn Movie Night for our ward primary activity. Probably because I have been editing the movie, so they see glimpses of it continuously. Our primary president (D Lehman) wanted to do a movie night like she does at her preschool but we could not decide which movie would work to keep the kids attention. Our secretary (A Hatch) mentioned that they had done this in a previous ward but had created their own movie. It was decided that we would film short segments to create an Old Testament video to show starring the primary kids. Thus began my long journey into learning how to film, convert formats, edit, add music and burn a movie.
It turned out that it was well worth it! I learned a lot. Hopefully the kids will learn something. We had a great turn out. The families are super excited to get a copy...I need to get busy with that now.
I decided to decorate our cars with duct tape to reinforce the box in the hopes that the cars would last through the movie. It became a small fortune in a variety of colors of Duck Tape (not duct). I thought one roll per box would be plenty, I was wrong!
Josh mentioned that Seths' looked like a tank and so it was. Off to the store we went to get camouflage tape.
A quick call to Paul and we had a turret.
Paige wanted a bunny car, but when she saw the Zebra striped tape she wanted that too! We did find a cute picture of a bunny to stay with her theme. I wish I could have found our cotton balls to add a tail, but they are lost somewhere in the middle of a bathroom remodel.
